This place does incredible work. I live in Lexington, KY, and all of the places nearby are running Sparx sharpeners that are usually run by younger kids who aren't that interested in what they're doing. This leads to a lot of uneven sharpenings, and I've seen it happen to tons of players I play with. I make it a point to make the trip to SkateTech when I need my blades sharpened, and it's always worth it. This last time on my drive from KC to Lexington, I got in about 20 minutes before their 1pm close time, and they had a pile of skates to work through. Despite that, they still made time to squeeze me in, and had me out the door with a pair of beautifully sharpened blades, for less than I would have paid for a Sparx sharpening of dubious quality back home. Under $11 bucks too. If you're waiting on your skates, check out the glove selection on the walls. Pretty sure I saw a pair of Pääjärvi pro stock gloves that needed a new home! I can't recommend the place highly enough, and it's well worth the long drive for quality work.
